Welcome to Camélia House

Camélia House is a diverse community of professionals dedicated to wellness and the healing arts. Our goal is to provide a space for the improvement and maintenance of physical and mental wellbeing.  Located in a beautiful historic Lafayette home, we offer a supportive environment for all to heal, regenerate, reflect, and thrive.

Camélia House allows true collaborative spirit in the approach to health and wellness.  This center for holistic treatment incorporates Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Counseling, Massage Therapy, Tai Chi, Yoga, Meditation, & Pilates.  Anchored by the Acupuncture Center of Acadiana, Camélia House has established itself as a leading resource for alternative healthcare.  Little Creek Yoga represents the space allotted for movement, group experiences, and community gatherings within Camélia House.  Hosting a variety of activities, such as yoga, tai chi, & pilates classes, meditation groups, sound healing, Reiki & drum circles, dance meditations, educational workshops, dinners, and small parties, Little Creek aims to be a container for community building and connecting.  Camélia House was born out of respect for life and the need in all of us to take care of ourselves and to connect with others doing the same.

The Acupuncture Center of Acadiana was founded in 1997 by John Hebert, a licensed & board certified practitioner of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. A graduate of Samra University of Oriental Medicine in Los Angeles, John also acquired extensive post-graduate experience during a two year clinical internship in China. He is a certified Diplomat of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine and has dedicated his energy to the foundation of the Acupuncture Association of Louisiana. John’s approach to treatment is one of integration: while rooted in the classics, he embraces innovative techniques for a modern world.
